The American brand Fortress of Inca creates elegant and quirky-shaped shoes with the help of workshops and factories in Peru. They make sure the artisans are working in good conditions (health care, paid maternity leave and social security for instance) and are fairly compensated. They use locally sourced natural materials like leather (chrome 6 free, byproduct of the meat industry), rubber and wood.
